Property management in Milton
Milton has grown fast since 2000, so many of its rentals are newer townhouses, semis and detached homes, plus condos near the GO station and Main Street. Plenty of them are new enough that the rent increase guideline doesn’t apply.

Local questions
Renting out a home in Milton.
Does the rent increase guideline apply to newer Milton homes?
Not to homes first lived in after November 15, 2018. Many Milton homes are that new, so the rent can go up by more than the guideline. The 12-month rule and 90 days’ written notice still apply, on Form N2.
Do short stays in Milton need a licence?
Yes. The Town licenses short-term rentals, so the licence comes before the listing and its number goes on every ad.
