Rural properties
A home on a private well and septic system needs care a city home doesn’t: well water testing (free through Public Health Ontario), septic pump-outs on schedule, and a lease that says who does what.

The province-wide rules apply too, from the Ontario Standard Lease to the yearly rent increase guideline: the Ontario rules we follow.

Local questions
Renting out a home in Caledon.
Do I need a licence to rent out my Caledon home?
For a short-term rental, yes, since September 8, 2026. For long-term rentals, the Town plans to start licensing in 2027. We keep track and tell you when your home needs one.
Do you manage country properties?
Yes, as long as we can look after them properly. The well, the septic system, a long driveway and the snow all go in the lease, so everyone knows who does what.
